How are dates counted?
The tool counts the days from the start date to the end date, not including the start day itself. Between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2026 there are 364 days, which is exactly 52 weeks.
Months and days are counted on the calendar, so the length of each month is respected. Adding days moves forward through real months, including leap years, so 1 January 2026 plus 30 days is 31 January 2026.
Example
From 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026 is 364 days, or 52 weeks, or 11 months and 30 days. Adding 30 days to 1 January 2026 gives Saturday, 31 January 2026.
